Abstract

The issue of choosing the hijab as a religious and legal duty and one of the most important moral bases in individual and social dimensions has always been discussed and challenged. Therefore, the present study, while identifying the reasons for choosing hijab, has tested it in the form of a qualitative study from the perspective of the elite society of active women at the community level. This research is a combination of qualitative and quantitative (mixed) study. In the qualitative part, the reasons for choosing hijab were determined by the method of hidden content analysis of documents by MAXQDA version 2022 software. From the codes identified in the qualitative section, 30 main themes were determined as the reasons for observing hijab. The factors identified in the quantitative part in the form of Q tables were sent to 12 elite women working in Kashan University of Medical Sciences and the obtained data were analyzed by the factor analysis method. The results of the quantitative part of the study show that 4 different mental patterns Regarding the observance of hijab by the sample under study. Their research shows that feeling more connected with the unique creator, establishing a balance between their beliefs and outward behavior, following religious orders, maintaining and improving mental health, preserving national values and strengthening the family foundation are the main reasons for choosing hijab in It is the highest job level. In addition to answering the reasons for choosing the hijab, and examining it from the perspective of the elite society of women of Kashan University of Medical Sciences, the present study has discovered mental patterns that can explain this religious duty for younger generations in connection with the lack of restrictions on the hijab in the path of progress.
