Abstract
Hijab and covering as a natural phenomenon has been considered in all divine religions, such that hijab is the central topic of most Western and Islamic intellectuals. The purpose of the current research is to investigate the doubts of medical students regarding hijab with mental health. The phenomenological research method and the lived experience of medical students were investigated. In order to conduct semi-structured and in-depth interviews, saturation was reached after 10 interviews with the purposeful sampling method. Data analysis was done by Claysey method. The findings of the research were categorized into five main topics of failure in religious education (5 components), personality (4 components), social (5 components) and cultural (4 components), psychological (2 components). The most important factor that played a role in students' suspicions of not wearing hijab was the lack of proper religious education, the ineffectiveness of school religious books, the dryness of religious and Quranic classrooms, and the lack of understanding and vision regarding religious orders and hijab. Therefore, the most important task of scientific and educational institutions, in the network system of cultural relations of the society, is to convince people based on dialogue and discussion to reach a consensus and influence the other side. Therefore, all the efforts of scientific and university institutions of the country should be in the direction of discussing and discussing the hijab and clarifying its dimensions.
